v. Midsummer Night

"There's a world out there and it's calling my name,"

It was endless, the pain. It would never stop and all she ever wanted was to get away from it. Not only her but them too. Desperate to have adventures when the sky was full of stars, to run away, to leave. They knew very well that you couldn’t just run away from problems but… It felt like they could. There was nothing stopping them, so why wait? Why wait for the pain to finally consume them, burden their souls with even more stress, waste their lives away trying to complete assignments that tore their brains out, why wait to live your life according to what people expect of them when they could just feel adrenaline rushing through their veins, making them feel much more alive than they ever are at the moment.

With bags filled with miscellaneous things that they hold so dear to their heart, countless of clothes and with money enough to live a moment in their bank accounts, the world was ready for them.

And they ran, the wind cold, the sun setting. The sky, not blue, but pink as it slowly said goodbye to the sun. Their breaths being covered by the wind in their ears. Their sneakers padded against the pavement as fast as their body could take them. It was a lot like flying. Like they were leaving their bodies as their legs took control. Like they were forgetting their problems and worries, and memorizing the feeling of their feet touching and leaving the ground in a split second.

It was magic.

The stars looked down at them, watching as the 4 souls ran into the night, never to return to the godforsaken town again. Their laughter filling the void of the night, leaving their pain behind and off to only god knows where.

It was them against the world and late night adventures became the death of them.
